Vision Statement: To provide positive alternative to placement for motivated first-time offenders. Through experiential activities, competency based life skill development and community service, the goal is to reduce the recidivism rate and placement of these youthful offenders.
The goal of the Outside In Sanctions Program is to encourage and guide adolescents boys ages 13-18 to become more aware of their future and to develop the necessary skills needed to succeed. This includes changing attitudes toward the legal system, self image, teaching better methods of communication, conflict resolution and preventing a future decision to break the law.
Interventions: Strong family integration concepts through case management, support and formal meetings. Structured weekends consisting of community service projects, experiential activities and family involvement. Strong competency based groups focusing on communication, self image, decision making, conflict resolution, juvenile justice system, and adolescent development. Community systems model designed to include all parties concerned with the juvenile.
