Residential Programs

Guided Path

Who

The program is clinically managed designed for adolescent males, between the ages of 13 and 18, who need a safe and stable living environment to further develop on a path toward wellness.

What

Treatment in a community-style setting promotes a treatment orientation focusing on the whole person and overall lifestyle changes, not simply abstinence from drug use or avoidance of risk-taking behaviors.

How

Youth within the Guided Path program live in a smaller group dynamic with a higher youth to staff ratio (1:2), youth and family therapist and a case manager. The youth have a very structured daily milieu with an increase focus on trauma recovery, special education and family engagement. Youth also participates in our W.I.L.D (Wilderness Intensive Leadership Development) using experiential education to promote healing.

Why

We believe the fullness of life is experienced with each step of the journey. Adversity that each day presents must be embraced and overcome and that we can rise above the mundane concerns that so easily beset us.

Population Served:

Guided Path is Outside In’s complex case residential program. The program is clinically managed designed for adolescent males, between the ages of 13 and 18, who need a safe and stable living environment to further develop on a path toward wellness.  Treatment in a community-style setting promotes a treatment orientation focusing on the whole person and overall lifestyle changes, not simply abstinence from drug use or avoidance of risk-taking behaviors. Youth are encouraged to examine their development and who they want to be in the world in order to transform into an improved version of themselves.  Youth who participate in this program are at high risk to have been or to become victims of sex trafficking.

Treatment Philosophy

Guided Path values adolescent development, a strengths-based approach, stages of change, and systemic philosophies as the key components for inspiring change in youth.  While a part of the enhanced residential program, youth should expect to be treated with dignity and respect.  By acknowledging our clients’ worth, respecting their unique and diverse experiences, and acknowledging their individualized needs we will assist our clients with achieving their definition of success.  This philosophy is derived from the words of our founder, ‘this kid today.’
